This has been a work-in-progress for quite some time. Shortly after I bought Medieval Market Village I started making alterations to it. The idea was for it to fill in as C’Heiron’s inn, a place where our characters in the Middle-earth Role Playing game used to hang around for a time. Since I’m making a ton of custom minifigs based on these characters, the inn was a suitable background for them.

However, having all of them just standing around in a bookshelf is a bit of a mess, since they all need bases to not fall over, and I can’t easily move the entire thing around. Also, I wanted a bit more detail to the actual area. So I got myself a 48×48 baseplate and tons of spare bricks and started rebuilding.

The houses have long ago been switched into tan to look more like a unit, and when I first built the thing I mirrored the entire build to make it more like I imagined the place. First on the agenda was actually connecting the buildings so the corner area wasn’t wasted. I made the top floor into a larger dormitory and extended the bottom bar area across the entire building.

The second building didn’t receive that many changes, but I took out the smithy and made the area into a training room instead. Outside, I built a new apple tree overlooking the river. The river itself was fun to build but required a ton of blue plates. I added a well, a small jetty and the bridge to get some more detail, since the yard itself needed to be quite simple to fit a ton of figures.

Hsienko and Jinako are having another magical dispute. I recently remade these figures with tan skin rather than yellow, which looked pretty dumb.

Inside, C’Heiron is serving cookies to Hogul and Lelia. Upstairs, Okbot is taking a well-deserved rest. The treasure box is safe for now, since Meguri hasn’t arrived.

Aradin is taking the opportunity to train with his daughter Asmalinde. Upstairs, Laevyn, Bhokan and Folless are planning their next expedition.
